Baby shower or sprinkle?

So my aunts and I were discussing if I would be having a shower or not. I was under the impression that with any baby after the first it's socially acceptable only to have a sprinkle. But they both argued with me that since I have such a big gap between kids (my son will be 10 when this one is born), then I am gonna have a shower (they are throwing it and love planning things months in advance that's why the whole discussion happened lol). 
So what's y'all's views on what's socially acceptable?

If yours were 2 years apart I would say sprinkle. But with a gap like that a shower is totally acceptable.

I’ve heard from a lot of people that if your first and current are 10 years or more apart then it’s totally fine to do a shower

So I voted Shower, but that’s because I have no issue with someone having a Shower for their second, especially with such a big age gap. I’ve gone to lots of Showers for 2nd+ babies and love celebrating all babies. HOWEVER, I didn’t want to do anything for my second one because it makes me uncomfortable for people to do things for me. I ended up having two different groups throw Sprinkles for me, both as surprises. I didn’t need anything because I had kept all the stuff from my first, but everyone was annoyed that I didn’t want to do anything. So I guess it’s not “socially acceptable” in some circles, but I got the opposite feedback. And I think if people do feel that way, which is totally fine, then they can politely decline the invite.
