To schedule an induction or not?

Meaghan

I'm a FTM and baby has coarctation of the aorta. We're currently being seen by a midwife, but due to her heart issue we're being transferred care to the high risk area of a larger hospital that is a 40 minute drive. Today on the phone it was mentioned we may want to schedule an induction so there's not a rush to get to the hospital. I understand that part but I was hoping to experience my body starting it naturally at least. I think this will be our only baby and my mom had all three of us without any epidural too so I was hoping for at least having options.

My question for you guys is would you schedule one or hope for the best? And for previous mom's, was being induced more painful? I read pitocin can be pretty intense.

Thanks all
