Milk storage question
I have had my pumped milk stored in my freezer above my fridge. We finally got a deep freeze the other day so I have moved it all into the deep freeze. How long will it be good for?
I have 244 ounces so far, since he’s been born I have only thawed maybe 20 ounces. Now that he’s getting older I know I’ll want a night away or something but I still won’t use nearly what I have pumped. I’m not sure how long I want to breastfed, originally 6 months was my long term goal (I know that’s not long for many moms but only made it 5 days with first son). Now that we are almost to 4 months I’m not sure I want to stop at 6 months 🤷♀️ I’d love to have enough pumped to continue with breastmilk when I wean but don’t want it to go to waste if it’ll go bad. If it will go bad I can see if our hospital here accepts donated milk.
Picture for attention - this is how I have it stored. Should I double bag or is 1 freezer bag enough?
