Need help!? 34 weeks pregnant

Okay so I am 34 weeks pregnant I use to have really bad heartburn. Well just a couple weeks ago my throat started to hurt and burn. No matter what I eat or drink it hurts even when I am sleeping I wake up to this pain . Has this happened to anyone else??? I just don't want it to be anything serious!!!

Ask your dr to prescribe pepcid to help.  The burning can damage your esophagus and there are safe options out there.  I drink milk after greasy or heavy meals to help

Omeprazole I take it daily and it has helped a ton I have horrible acid reflux and heart burn

Tums never helped took Prilosec and doctor is okay with it, it saves me Soo much I had it every day no matter what

I've always been proscribed prilosec. After I get to the point I'm taking too many Tums.  Also it might help to take a tbsp. Of apple cider vinegar.  Tastes bad, but helps.

Omg tums have been my friend for that past couple weeks.  Like middle of the night wake up and acid reflux and a tums.  I lay on my left side to alleviate some of it but it's annoying cause my left is now getting so sore.

Midwife prescribed me protonix. I take it once a day and I haven’t had heartburn since I was 26-27 weeks, I’m now 34w. 🎉

Every night! I wake up and take anti acids at least twice a night. If I drink water I get it bad, and same with chocolate. I have started to drink milk to try to help.

It’s, unfortunately, normal. What happens is your body has gotten cramped so there is far less room for all the gas and food and secondly your body has started to release the hormone relaxin which causes all the joints and muscles to loosen to prepare for labor, additionally it’s relaxes the sphincter between your esophagus and your stomach causing the acids and gas to escape upwards because of lack of room. It’s sucks I’ve woke a few times to almost puking because of food coming up.

I've been dealing with heartburn and have a sore throat! I never thought about a connection. It is worse in the morning and night and dull during the day. It's not a cold and hasn't gotten any worse or better for weeks. I am definitely asking my midwife at my next appointment.
