Is it safe to travel at week 32 if the doc okay’d?

Thinking of doing a quick trip for a Long weekend before the baby is here... flight is only 1 hr away... what do you think?

I’m 32 weeks on Sunday and I’ll be flying back home. I got a doctors note to say it was fine just to make sure I have everything in order.

The risks of flying include:
- not being close to your local hospital in the event of labor (so if you’re not at risk of this and you’re healthy this is fine)
- dehydration from flying (hydrate triple the amount you think you should)
- increased BP and swelling of the limbs (monitor your BP, wear compression socks)

I went on a cruise to Jamaica dr said it was ok. Just to eat n hydrate n rest

Dont let it scare you cause traveling is no different then us sitting around at home it's not like your running a mile you will be sitting most of the time

I'm 32 weeks and I just went on Christmas vacation it was a 6 hour drive just make sure you drink lots of water and when you need to pee go and make sure to stretch a little when you get a chance and you'll be fine

Check with Dr and Airline...a lot of airlines will require a note from the OB that you are safe to fly.

I’ll be taking a 2hour flight at 31w. Got a letter from the dr. Plus I feel fine, no issues throughout the pregnancy.
