Is a middle name required ??

I don’t have a middle name and it never bothered me. No one in my family does. My husband doesn’t have one either. But people keep saying I should give my baby a middle name. I’m not sure what to do, advise is helpful!

It’s not necessary but it can help with identification later in life. Lots of people have the same first and last name but different middle names. Middle names carry meaning in our family as well. My husband’s middle name is his mother’s maiden name, which then became our son’s first name.

I only found out recently that some people don't have middle names and some people have tons of names. I don't think it makes a difference either way. I personally don't like my middle name 🙂 also less work filling out documents if they only have one name

My husband doesn't have one, but I do. With our kids the boys do not, but the girls do. If the boys decide they want one we will help them get it added on.
