I’m originally from Spain but live in the US. I am pregnant w a boy and i went home for Christmas and I told my parents the name we like (which is American but very normal here in the states, just not common at all in Spain) and my dad had a shocked face and my mom started laughing badly as if it was a joke.

Honestly it really hurt my feelings and I can’t get their faces and reactions out of my head.

Has anyone been through this? Did it affect your decision!? I really don’t like any other name and it’s normal here not like he is going to be laughed on, but damn my parents reaction really sucked.
