Contractions but not dilating?

Went to L&D triage as I was having contractions since 2 this morning. I got checked and I’m only 1 cm, 50% effaced and she’s in a -2 position. Also had intense contractions on the monitor every 2-4 minutes. Also when the midwife checked me she gave me a membrane sweep. I was bleeding a little bit afterwards. Is this a good sign? Am I in early labor? Also did having a membrane sweep work for you? I’m hoping that with the sweep and all these contractions it will help kickstart the dilation process.

My membrane sweep I was bleeding a lot lol and nope didn’t work. I got it last Monday and I get induced Monday.

I was in early labor for 3 weeks. I was contracting anywhere from 2 to 10 minutes apart. The last week of my pregnancy got way worse. I was in triage multiple times with painful contractions every 2 minutes but was only at a 2. The last time I went in I was finally at a 3. They had me walk around and I thankfully made it to a 4 so they kept me. It was a looooooong process. I hope things go smoother for you!
