Does clomid increase your chance of multiples?

Just wondering because I see lots of ladies with twins on here!!

I think it depends. First month on clomid, I had my cycle canceled because I overstimmed. Was prescribed 150mg (had some pretty bad sides from it, I don't recommend going straight to this dosage) and I had 7 mature follicles. The whole month was a waste. Second month, I had two mature, only one took. I do ovulate regularly on my own though.
