Pregnancy advice

So me and my bf have been dating for over 2 years he has a kid with another women. But every time I try and talk to him about kids he turns me down he says that we are not ready. He thinks that I will stop working and that we will suffer for it. It hurts me because all I want to do is be a mom and it seems like he is never understanding and it is hurting our relationship. I feel like he is happy with his one kid idk what to do idk how to go about it. Every time we talk about it it always turns into a huge fight. Any advice?
