What can I do

Question

So my LO likes to be put to sleep in a swaddle and then 10-20 minutes after she’s asleep she takes her arms out. She rolls over perfectly fine. I’m just wondering what I could do to take this habit away. She literally won’t go to sleep if she isn’t swaddled. Any tips ? Thank you in advance.

I used a Halo Sleepsack Easy Transition when my LO started rolling and she still uses it today. It’s snug on the belly so it still is cozy for them. And it has sleeves that go a bit over the elbows.

I transitioned using the Merlin suit (not safe at this age though) and then I used a thicker, long sleeve halo sleepsack which still fits him and is safe for if they roll over. The thicker material helped calm his startle reflex. Now he sleeps on his tummy and it stopped being an issue.

Maybe start with something that feels a bit like a swaddle. Like pressing one side against the side of crib, putting a folded blanket on her other side? Or would a sleep sack help?
