Baby is head down but facing up?

Question

Anyone else’s baby positioned like this? Head down but facing up (back to my back, face to my belly) I’m 37 weeks tomorrow and I’m afraid if he doesn’t flip over I’ll need a c-section! Did anyone need a c-section in this case? I just got back from my midwife and now I’m thinking of all these questions I should’ve asked but had a total brain fart lol

Most babies start in that position and as labor progresses they turn into the correct position. It can cause killer back labor but I definitely wouldnt worried about a c section because of it. Yeah it does happen but not often. Things you can do to help turn baby is get on your hands and knees and rock your hips back and forth...while you are in active labor. - labor and delivery nurse

My daughter flipped during labor was was head down, face up. It was past the point of a c section before we realized she had turned. My dr tried to physically turn her but was not successful. I was able to deliver her vaginally still. It made labor much harder and longer. I spent 6 hours pushing while they rotated her.  Needless to say, I had a traumatic birth. Due to this. She formed a subgaleal hemorrhage (brain bleed).

My daughter was face up. We didnt know it until I was pushing her out and they saw it. She was stuck and I felt like I was pushing so hard and nothing was happening. She had her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck and the obgyn said "you have ONE push to get this baby out" and I pushed with all I had in me and it wasnt enough. She PULLED her out of me because of the cord, and I ripped SO BAD. I had 16 stitches down there and ripped in a W shape. I STILL (1.5 later) get sharp shooting pains down there from the nerve damage. My daughter was going to die if she wouldnt have pulled her out, so I'm thankful she did but it was sooooo painful.

I had my daughter vaginally face up and let me tell you it wasn’t fun. However I didn’t need a csection so take solace in that lol the thing is face up they can’t squeeze their shoulders together more to get out because they don’t bend that way. You’ll be alright, if I can do it anyone can.

My baby was face up & ended up needing a c section, my midwife didn’t know until I was pushing though, she was face up, but I believe she was also stuck on my pelvis, so there was no way she was coming out
