14 week old still up for 4 feeds a night??

Question

My 14 week old boy is still waking every 2-3 hours to be fed. Is this normal? Any tips to help him go longer? He is BF and normally drains both sides though sometimes will only take one and wake up 2 hours later and wanting the other! I’m a very tired momma! The last 2 nights he did 5 hour stretches but back to his usual tonight help!

My daughter is 16 weeks and is up every 2-3 also. She was giving me 5 hour stretches every now and then but for the most part is up every 2-3 to eat and lately hasn’t given me a 5 hour stretch for at least a week and her naps have been super short (yay 4 month sleep regression). Some babies sleep through the night and some just don’t. Ours must just need those middle of the night feeds still!

Sounds like he's hungry! But you could try feeding him every two hours throughout the day (if you aren't already) to be sure he's getting enough to eat then. He may not need as much at night if he's getting frequent full meals during the day. Also I've found that giving my son a pacifier when he wakes will help him sleep longer. If he's truly hungry the pacifier won't help. Hang in there, it won't last forever!

He’s draining both breasts...he’s hungry, mama! 
Mine is 17 weeks today and he does full feeds overnight but also nibs around and seeks me out more for comfort. We are in the leap 4 and 4 month sleep regression, so emotional comfort is extra important  to them during all these changes they’re experiencing in their brains.
Mine is going 2-2.5 hours between feeds overnight. I haven’t had a 5 hour stretch of sleep since he was about 8 weeks old.
