Would you be upset? (Part 2)

So my husband has the flu and bronchitis... He was handling baby the day we found out my nephew had the flu. He watched him for 2 hours while I went to the clinic to check if I had the flu. He was symptomatic and watching our LO. He says he was washing his hands and not breathing on him, turning away/coughing into his sleeve. Ped says to wait to see if he shows symptoms. I've been watching our LO like a hawk, taking his temp with every diaper change and praying. 😩

So my husband said to his sister, hey in the future can you let us know when the kids are sick so we can make the decision on whether or not to come to family functions. Just for now with LO being so young... We're all sick right now and really struggling..

She went off... Told him that he didn't care about her or her family, has never asked how her kids are doing, and then said that we were blaming her for our baby getting sick. That if every time the kids had the sniffles they'd never go anywhere and that's just not life. My SO hung up on her. I feel so bad for my Husband now, he said he knew she was going to react that way which is why he didn't want to say anything. Not only that but she really made him feel like crap. We love our nieces and nephews; my husband always plays with them and shows them attention, we may not text everyday saying hey how is so and so but we genuinely do care.

Not only that but her kids are 6,3,and 1... Not that it makes a difference but her 1 yr old breastfed infant getting sick is different than an 11 week old formula fed infant. He's had his vaccinations too. Obviously I hate to see any kids get sick and suffer, it's not good. But what the heck?

Can someone explain to me maybe her side of it, cause I'm not understanding....
