Dj at parties ?

I always get asked to dj at parties and I NEVER know what to put on so I always freeze up and it kills the vibe.    Ever seen this?

Why do you get asked to DJ if you're not fully prepared to DJ? Tell them to find someone else who might be better suited to the role.

I’m confused on how people would even think to ask you to DJ unless they either have a strong reason to believe you know how to or you’ve done it before

If you’re doing it as a favor and/or volunteering I’d have them compile a playlist. Make sure they let you know what songs they want played when etc so it’s easier to set the mood.

No Idk why but always at a party someone hands me their phone and says to play music. But like i mostly listen to metal so I try not to because it would probably throw off the vibe is what i meant
