Would this make me a bad mom?

Katie

My LO, 25 days old, was diagnosed today with a milk allergy. The pediatrician gave us hypoallergenic formula to try and a list of things for me to stop eating in order to keep breastfeeding. Looking at the list, I’m realizing just how much of what I eat is dairy. I don’t necessarily consume a lot of milk or cheese, but most of what I eat is processed with some form of dairy product. I’m not opposed to switching to formula because I know there’s nothing wrong with that, but I also don’t want to give up breastfeeding so readily. Would I be a bad mom if I didn’t even try to change my diet and switch right to formula?
