So my husband has 6 reptiles and I’m very fond of them too. However, since I’ve been pregnant he has been horrible at taking care of them. I have to remind him every single day to feed them and half the time he “forgets” anyways even with the constant reminders. We don’t really have the space for them either with a baby on the way but I wanted to try to work it out anyways. However, now I’m considering just rehoming them because I’m so stressed over him not feeding them. I would do it myself but it involves dead mice and live bugs which is why they’ve been his responsibility. I’m mostly irritated because the baby isn’t even here yet and he’s already slacking on one of his few responsibilities and I don’t really want to have to worry about it while handling a newborn. Today I feel like I’m just done. He hasn’t cleaned their tanks, forgot to feed them again, and he just ignores the reminders I’ve set on his phone. I love them too but it feels like a constant source of stress and arguments. Am I wrong for wanting him to rehome them? Any advice?
