Going back to work sucks

So I am currently in my basement office listening to my baby upstairs screaming at the top of her lungs with the nanny we hired. It’s only day 2 and I’m working alongside the nanny to train her but I’m trying to make myself scarce today to give them time to work this out. It’s brutal. As soon as she seems me she’s smiley and happy and as soon as I leave she screams. US maternity leave is barbaric. Babies this young are not equipped to handle this. She just wants her mom. I go back to work on Monday and I know we’re fortunate to even be able to hire a nanny to be with her one on one but....will it get better? Is this is any way good for her in the long run?
