12 days post IUI...

Hi everyone,

Looking to see if anyone is in a similar boat. I’ve had 2 miscarriages in the last few years (most recent July ‘19), the only two times I’ve been pregnant.

My husband and I decided to try IUI, which was performed 12/22/19. I did NOT receive a trigger shot. I got a positive home pregnancy test yesterday and today (today is day 12), so I called my doctor to get a beta HCG drawn, even though it’s on the early side.

I previously haven’t had a positive test before day 14 post-ovulation. My HCG was 27 today, and I will go back in 4 days to have another drawn. My cycles are longer (33 days), so I’m still technically a few days before a missed period as well.

After losing two pregnancies, it’s hard to be too positive or happy. Most of the information I found online about IUI refers to people who received a trigger for ovulation.

Now to wait a very long 4 days to pray my HCG goes up. My first miscarriage, my body didn’t react properly, my hcg started to go up after it was gone, and I had to get chemo to assist my body in the process.

If you’ve had IUI without a trigger shot, what was your course after the IUI?
