How long after being induced did you go into labour ?

I’m 38weeks + 3days, I went to my 38week appointment on Thursday and my midwife has booked me in due to excessive growth, my baby is measuring big- she’s booked me in for a scan on Monday for a more accurate reading of his weight. has anyone ever had this before and baby has turned out average weight? If he is big, they will book me in to be induced... for you ladies who have had to be induced, how long did it take to go into labour?- do they send you home once you’ve been induced or stay in the hospital, should of asked this when I was there but I didn’t think of the questions at the time.
