Anyone have the lactmed app?

Can you look up “Dotarem” for me please?
@ Elizabeth: Yes I did, in a different group, and I got no answers. So I decided the BF group might be a better place to post. The app costs money and so I was hoping to just ask someone who already has it.
@Randi: google doesn’t provide very clear results like it does for some other meds. And doctors often give a multitude of different answers. I trust Dr Thomas Hales work, so that’s why I wanted to see lactmed results.

If your getting an MRI, call the facility you're going to be seen at. Let them know your breastfeeding - the radiologist can determine if there is another study that could be performed OR if the scan can be done without contrast.
I work at a radiology clinic, there are always options and depending in what is being looked for, contrast may not be needed

I assume you are getting an MRI done. Google tells me an MRI w dye is safe during breastfeeding. However, after looking further, the dye is pregnancy category C, so it hasn’t really been tested. Ultimately you should decide if you getting the MRI is worth the could be maybe risk of anything with your baby. Doctors don’t typically do MRI unless they absolutely have to, so it’s probably important. But it would be your choice. Also, if your baby needed an MRI they would get the same medication, so it is “safe” for pediatric patients.
