Is this rude?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 6 years and we are 21. I still live with my parents and my boyfriend still lives with his parents. Whenever I come over (which is almost everyday) and his parents are home from work, we usually talk to his dad for 2-3 minutes or less in the living room and then my boyfriend and I go straight into his room. It’s a small apartment. Is this rude for me to not stay and talk to his dad?

If you completely ignored him, that would be rude. But you arent there to visit his father. Say hi, bye and that's enough. I wouldn't think it's rude.

I don’t think it’s rude at all. It’s not like you’re just walking into his dads house, and ignoring him not ever saying hey. That I could see being rude but in this situation I think it’s fine 🤷🏻‍♀️

Who said yes lol. You’re not there to see his dad you’re there to see your boyfriend. It’s your boyfriend’s responsibility to talk to or not talk to his dad. Idk how this falls on you.

If you don’t talk to his mum aswell then yeah it is rude. I’ve been with my partner for 8 years and barely talk to his dad
