Post partum hair loss?

My cousin is 4 almost 5 months pp and suddenly has lost a lot of hair! Anyone else going through this? Any remedy to help it grow back in or prevent more loss? Like will washing less help? Or it will fall out regardless? We are both ftm and know nothing about it. She is so upset. Any tips or information would be greatly appreciated!!!

My hair stylist was telling me people start losing it around 3 months postpartum and he was spot on. Mine started shedding more than it usually does about a week ago (right on schedule). It’ll come back.

I didn’t lose any hair the last month of pregnancy, so now it’s all falling out. It’s totally normal and it’s not like my hair is thinning, it’s just all the hair I didn’t lose while pregnant. 😂

For my daughter I lost a lot at about 6months also it was after stopping Breastfeeding I find also if your low on iron you’ll lose it aswell

There’s really no way to prevent it.  It’s a hormonal reaction unfortunately.  Taking biotin can make it grow back in faster but beware, some women get horrendous acne from it.  I just chopped all my hair off because the pp hair loss was driving me nuts 😂
