How would you suggest to ur dr to switch from clomid to letrozole ? I have done 3 rounds of clomid all with good ovulation but no pregnancy. So wanting to try something else . How would you suggest this without coming off as rude?

Be your own advocate and ask. I've asked about increasing medications / timing / etc and my doctor and I have an open dialogue about what each next step is and why. Try to be a team with your doctor - not just follow the orders of them. They may know best and have their reasoning for what their thought process and protocols are but you are allowed to ask the question and they should at least consider what you are requesting.

I think sometimes it’s easy to forget that the doctor is there for YOU. He is getting paid to do you a service. Would you hesitate to ask your waiter if they’d mind bringing you a water after you been sipping Dr. Pepper? No because it’s what they’re there for and you’re not asking for anything wild. Use your doctor. Just ask, and tell your doctor you’ve done some research and you’d like to switch medications since this one isn’t working. Most doctors would be willing to switch you or give you a logical explanation as to why it isn’t a good fit (which I don’t see being the case.). Best of luck!!!

It’s not rude to advocate for yourself. I did and my obgyn sent me to an re because she didn’t do letrozole. Best thing i ever did!

Agree that you have to just ask. I was nervous at first but now I’m not at all. You definitely have to be your own advocate.
