How long did you wait??

Just curious how long did you wait after delivery to have sex??? I didn’t tear any, and I’m almost a month PP and I’m still not sure. My Dr told me right after delivery to wait 4-5 weeks also I am not ready to have sex yet. Just curious bc I’ve heard some stories of Ppl doing it right after lol

I always wait until the 6 week pp checkup for the drs to give the ok. I won't risk an infection or an accidental pregnancy

I’m gonna be honest with you, 
Yes I was told 4-6 weeks or your 6 week pp appointment. 
However, that didn’t happen, we waited until the night before she was 3 weeks, I just couldn’t wait anymore, my boyfriend asked a thousand times if I wanted to wait, but I just couldn’t. 
Nothing happened to me, she turned 4 weeks on Tuesday. 
I also was only in labor from 1215-530, then pushed 530-542. No tears or anything, bleeding only lasted a week

Usually you are to wait until your pp follow up (which is typically 4-6 weeks pp) and they will usually give you the green light and tell you when you’re cleared at that point.
