My bf and I have been together for almost 4 years. About a year ago, he got his own apartment (with the help from me). I still live at home with my family but I would stay often at the apartment with him. We talked about me moving in often. The past summer we were in a really good place in our relationship and I was going to move in with him. I wanted to take a few days off of work so I could pack all of my things and get settled in. I ended up procrastinating and I didn’t move in yet.

Then November and December happened. I started working ALOT because I work in retail. And anyone that works in retail knows how much you have to work during the holidays. My bf and I started to only see each other like once a week. Around the end of December our relationship was awful. When I would come see him, we barely spoke about anything. He wouldn’t really touch me and love on me like he used to. (He used to cuddle with me, kiss all over me, if I was naked he would basically jump me, he just loved me). It began to not be like that. When we lay next to each other, he doesn’t cuddle me anymore. We haven’t had sex in weeks. I’ve taken showers and he doesn’t come in anymore. Or care when I walk past him naked. I feel very insecure about this because I feel like I’m not attractive to him anymore. He used to make me feel beautiful. I am normally confident about my looks but this has been getting to me.

He also has said that he wants a girl to live with him and I want to live with him!!

Also. The past couple of weeks while I had to work a lot, he has been drinking ALOT.

He goes to this one bar from the time he gets off from work until like midnight. It upsets me that he’s been drinking so much.

He has been such a different person. He’s been so mean and heartless to me when we argue. He acts like he’s not attracted to me anymore. I’m just so heart broken.

Tonight he told me he wants to take a break from our relationship. Idk if we should or not. Taking a break scares me. Idk if we should just break up. I’d like to take a break and maybe get better but idk if taking a break consists of talking to other people ??? Idk. Have any of you taken a break from a relationship? How did it end ?

I miss the old him and how we used to be 😞
