Confirmed miscarriage

I started spotting on Saturday at 6 weeks exactly. I went to the ER that night after the bleeding increased where they did blood work and an ultrasound. I was discharged with a threatened miscarriage. I had a follow up visit with my OB yesterday where they did another ultrasound, baby was still there but they couldn’t find a heartbeat. I did additional lab work and was told to come back for a repeat ultrasound next Tuesday. I spoke with the nurse this morning who confirmed my HCG dropped and now a miscarriage has been confirmed. I’m devastated and just mad at the world right now. I was blessed in my first pregnancy by having no issues and gave birth to a perfect baby boy who is now seven. I guess I had the same expectation that everything would go smoothly with this pregnancy.

My OB said to wait two full menstrual cycles before trying again. How long did everyone else wait before they tried again?

What advice do you have in getting through this? I’m so ready for the bleeding to stop so it’s not a constant reminder of what has happened to me. 😢
