Bleeding!?

I’m currently trying to conceive and my period is due today but there hasn’t been any sign of it. During sex, not knowing, I began to bleed. There was no pain during the entire time. And when I went to the bathroom there was blood on me, him, and the bed. TMI I know. But could this be my period, due to early pregnancy? I took a test this morning but couldn’t tell if the test was positive or indent. I’m not currently bleeding. It wasn’t completely bright red. It was more pink when I wiped.
