Owlet sock- worth it?

Question

For those who have the owlet, do you like it?
I know what they say about it.. the false sense of security, possible inaccurate reading, ect..
But looking for reviews from those who have one. Would it be worth it to get one this late in the game?

It’s the best thing we purchased for our son. I’ve only had an alarm if the sensor gets moved out of place which rarely happens. It’s the only way I can sleep at night

My friend is an RN and she told me legally she's not allowed to recommend them to patients, but when she had a baby she will definitely be using one. That made me convinced to get one. We don't use it every single night, but after finding my baby face first on his mattress in his crib not doing a anything to move him after he first started rolling, it gave me a lot of peace of mind. We love it, and I've heard it helped a lot of people, so why not? 🤷 The worst that could happen is you get a false alarm and possibly a large Dr bill. If rather have that then something go wrong and have no idea until it's too late.

I bought one for my son when he was three months old and I LOVE it. I debated for a long time on whether or not to get it but it has made me so much less anxious. Especially now that he can roll onto his belly! He doesn’t go to sleep without it now. They often have had $100 off sales though and that’s when I got it!

I LOVE my owlet and wouldn’t sleep without it.  I also got it on the way home from the hospital because, after 16 days of monitoring in the nicu, I knew my anxiety would be sky high without any sort of monitors at home.
We haven’t had any false alarms.  The only alarms we get are an occasional sock connection issue, and that happens because he shoves his feet between my thighs and the signal can’t get out 😂
We had a few sock placement alarms early on but that’s because the sick was made for 6+lbs and we started using it at just under 5 lbs.  Haven’t had that alarm once since he grew big enough for it.

We got one on our way home from the hospital because I was so paranoid about him sleeping during the night and I knew I couldn’t sit there and watch him all night (even though that’s what I wanted to do lol). It definitely made me feel better about going to sleep because I felt like I knew he was being monitored and he was safe. But once we got used to being home and he didn’t seem like this fragile, breakable baby, we quit using it. I really just kept forgetting to put it on him and when I would remember, it would be dead. You have to plug it in during the day to charge and I would always forget to. Looking back, I wish I wouldn’t have spent $300 on a baby monitor, but it did put me at ease that first week. Oh and I got a few false alarms, all from him moving the sock to where the sensor couldn’t get a good reading.
