WHAT IS THIS?!?

I have this sore in my cheek and I work at a daycare and one of the babies was diagnosed with hands, foot, and mouth so I'm not sure if it's the start of it or if it's just a canker sore or something. Please help!
Edit: I'm pretty worried about cancer. So I'm trying to make sure it doesn't look like mouth cancer too.

Have you had that filled tooth looked at recently? I ask because there appears to be yellowing and discoloration under the filling along with that layer of white at the base of the tooth. If theres a lot of bacteria and infection present it can cause mouth sores if this has been a chronic problem for you.
