Would you go back to work?

*trigger warning*
My husband and I were scheduled off of work until next Thursday. 
We were on vacation to visit our families in Mexico. My husbands friend ended up committing suicide the night he came to visit us. My husband has been very nervous and anxious since this happened. We ended up coming back home early because he want comfortable being there. 
Do I need to tell my supervisor I’m back? Would you go back to work? 
Would you tell them you came back early?? 
I think I’m over thinking it but just curious 🤷🏻‍♀️😔.

They don't need to know your back. You scheduled your vacation just dont go back until you were scheduled.  I mean unless you want to.

I would call and let them know what happened and ask if I could take my vacation days back. If not, I would just take the leave.

It really comes down to whether you want to take your leave or see if you can get it back. If you want to see if you can return to work and get your leave back, then sure, talk to your boss. If you don’t want your leave back, then just take the rest of the time off and spend some time together.

No. If you were approved to have the days off it’s none of your employers business what you do on the day’s off.

I would take the vacation days for your husband to cope. I wouldn't go to work that quick even though you guys got back early

If you guys arent feeling too well from it and need a day off, call in and tell them what happened. It's hard to lose a friend.
