Is it disrespectful to keep and wear jewelry giving by a ex? 
Would you keep and wear jewelry giving by a ex for a special occasion like anniversary? 
Would you not like it if your SO had and wore jewelry his ex gave him for a anniversary?

It would depend. 
My husband has given me jewelry on the behalf of our children. Things like that, no its not.

I mean, my husband still has and sometimes wears a watch that his ex girlfriend gave to him and it doesn’t bother me.. But that’s probably because I know their situation and know there’s no emotional ties to it, its more so just a nice watch and I totally wouldn’t make him get rid of it just because he got it from an ex! It’s just a watch to me! But I however would not keep any jewelry my ex gave to me. I’d probably sell it lol

I think at times it just kind of depends. Like I have jewelry from my relationship with my ex fiancé, but it was family heirloom type stuff and he/his family still wanted me to keep me (we’ve grown up together since we were nine), but I don’t wear the items ever and they’re in a momento jewelry box. 
I also still have this amazing ring from my ex boyfriend, I tried to give it back to him when we broke up but he wanted me to keep it, we’re still friends and he’s now married. The ring is gorgeous and cost a pretty penny so I only wear it maybe 2-3x a year. My fiancé now knows who it’s from and it doesn’t bother him one bit because he also happens to think it’s a very nice ring and knows there’s no emotional connection to it. If it were a promise ring or anything like that, I’m sure it’d be different and I wouldn’t of kept it anyways, but it was just a gift. I did ask him if it was okay to wear on occasion and he said he didn’t mind, had he felt otherwise it would stay in a box.

I would defiantly be upset if my partner were wearing stuff that a past girlfriend bought him. I also threw out all the jewelry I got from my ex before moving onto a new relationship. It’s just respect.
