I 100% preferred my SO save his PTO for after baby was born. He came to the first appointment and the anatomy scan.

Honestly I went to most of my appts alone but I was fine with it. I wanted his time off after the babies were home 💜

My husband went to all ultrasounds and any appointments that happened to fit his schedule. I am the patient, not him. We both work weird schedules so trying to plan appointments around both of our schedules was too annoying to me.

All appointments? No certainly not. But the important ones (like scans and such), absolutely! I'm over 40 weeks pregnant,  and hubby came to all ultrasounds,  first prenatal appointment and meet and greets with midwives. Now that we are past due, he comes to appointments now because we discuss next steps. But in no way would I have expected him to come to general check ups and such. He has to work. I'm independent and can go alone. But I think its important to be at the "big" ones whenever possible

For our first baby he only came to the very first appt and the 20 week scan
For this one he’s only coming with me for the 20 week scan, he’s going to be super busy with work and gone all the time (flight engineer) so it’s okay :)

He will go to what he can. He cant miss work for every check up and I don't expect him to. As it is, I have to try to schedule everything on early release days in the afternoon so I can even be there.

Way too hard to plan appointments around mine and my husbands schedule so I made sure to plan the first appointment and the ultrasounds so that he could go and the rest I did whatever. If he was off work he came, if he wasn’t, he didn’t 🤷🏼‍♀️

Honestly, I prefer for my SO to be there for every appointment. It’s hard going to a normal exam just to find out your babies didn’t make it and being alone.
