Need inspiration - career break
I had my first baby in 2018/august and while she is the best thing in my life it has resulted me to drop out of phd, a phd i do not want to go back to (horrible project and supervisor)
And now I am 5 weeks pregnant....again. I am more happy about the baby than the pregnancy (being pregnant is hard)
Anyway I feel so down about my huge career gap... it will be 4-5 years out, in this time most of the people I went to uni with (doing chemistry) built their career, moved up, finished phds and I didnt. I didnt gain more experience apart from a couple of years before my daughter, I am so worried that I will have to take jobs that are not my dream of becoming a pharmaceutical researcher. I am just so sad about it, please if any of you have success stories after career breaks cheer me up with them!
