Transferring to an online college ?

Currently I’m in my second year of college. One of my coworkers had introduced me to Penn Foster. If you don’t know what it is , it’s basically an online college where you work at your own pace. I’m thinking maybe I want to do that instead. Have any of y’all did this or is doing online college ? What are your experience with both?

I agree if you are able to do online with an actual college. I personally am doing online school right now through a university to get my Bachelors. I got my Associates from our community college but I live in a rural part of Michigan so there wasn’t any university’s for hours away and I didn’t want to make a commit like that. Moving away from family isn’t really my cup of tea at the moment. To each their own
I like the flexibility it gives so you aren’t confined to classes at a certain time. My classes aren’t a “go at your own pace” type of classes, there are due dates like regular school. But there’s plenty of time since you can work on it any time of day works best for you. The only thing is you have to be really committed and on top of it. It is really easy to fall behind or get distracted. There’s a lot of responsibility and self-motivation involved.

Definitely try to do online with a university or community college. My mom said those solely online colleges can be scams
