DIY Vaginal Swabbing

So, I have a male doctor and I went in for a swabbing to check for yeast infection and bacterial vaginosis. Now, I am able to do my own swabbing and he just sends it in. I’m wondering if I went too deep or didn’t do it right as the tip came out somewhat reddish/pinkish, or is this normal? He told me to go in deep and move it around in a circle, but I inserted the swab basically all the way in ???? Will it still show yeast and bacteria if I went too far up? 😅
