🇬🇧🇬🇧UK mums - Epidural?

Question

Can any mums from the UK tell me about their experience getting an epidural? From what I’ve heard it’s quite a struggle to actually be able to get one because the NHS push for gas and air and try to dissuade you from an epidural 
Any tips?

True, in very rare ocasions will get epidural.... they made me go in and out of hospital for a week because they wanted natural birth... that’s how they called it..
Good I’m not going to deliver my second one there.

I had one With my first son, they didn’t complain, I asked they delivered :) 
True is that , they will not give it to you until you are about 6 cm :)

It depends on weather you get there in time.. I told my midwife I didn't want an epidural and she told me not to completely disregard it. I said what if I cant get it?? She said you would have to be in established labour to not be allowed it. I highly doubt any midwife wouldn't let you get it if you wanted it. The only time they cant give you it if you're 10cm dilated from what my midwife told me :)
