Just a cold?

Ok, first time & paranoid mama here 🙋🏻‍♀️

My son has symptoms of a cold and his eyes were red and having yellow discharge... we took him to urgent care yesterday and got antibiotic eye drops for pink eye. It’s already improved 👏🏼

They checked his vitals, ears, throat, breathing... all was fine. I mentioned he had a cold too but I didn’t ask to check if he had the flu or anything (he has no fever).

But his coughs just sound weird to me. I guess more phlegmy and not a dry cough anymore. He’s hardly eating (which I know is common with a cold because of congestion) and now he has diarrhea, so I’m worried about dehydration.

My husband is off with him tomorrow so if he still doesn’t start eating more by the morning he will bring him to the pediatrician. We won’t be going back to urgent care—they almost wouldn’t see him because he’s under 6 months and they didn’t seem to experienced with little guys.

Any thoughts? Is it just a typical cold or is it a good idea to go in tomorrow?
