How do i potty train?

Ftm. Baby girl is 17 months. She sits on her potty with her clothes on when we are using the bathroom. She will say "poo poo" and "pee pee" but i just dont know when or how to start. She will flush the big toilet if we ask her to.

I’m waiting for at least another 6m. Mines not talking yet but I started my first at 18m because she showed the signs everyone talks about/you read about online. I will say she has a very fiery and independent will and she wasn’t 100% potty trained until 3.5. I have no pointers. Just don’t let yourself get frustrated with the process of it doesn’t go how you think it will. I had to stop and start several times because I was getting mad and it’s really not her fault she wasn’t ready even though the pointers all said she was.

I think it’s all about routine. Honestly our daycare did all the potty training for our 3 year so we won’t start with this one until she is two- that’s when they start at daycare. Wake up, go potty. Before lunch, go potty. Before nap, go potty. After nap, go potty, etc etc. and have them wearing pull ups. As soon as they are staying dry most of the day and actually going potty in the potty... then ditch the pull ups and use underwear. Some people do the “oh shit” method but our pediatrician advised against that and suggested we wait and don’t push it too hard otherwise they will do fine for awhile and then regress.
