Blanket at 10 months?

Question

My son sleeps better with a blanket to hold on to. Tonight is my first night letting him sleep with it but I am checking on him constantly. Debating if I should go in and take it away before I fall asleep. He is exactly 10 months, rolls back and forth and almost walking. When did you let your babe sleep with a blanket?

My son has had a blanket pretty much since birth especially when it’s cold outside

We do a blanket for naps but I’m still afraid at night because i can’t watch him the entire time. He does sleep with his Ella tho. (His elephant lovey) he put his head on it, holds it, and cuddles it.

Mine has had a blanket since birth, at 6 months I stopped tucking it in and just let him have it loose in his cot as he likes to kick it off sometimes, he also sleeps with a lovey that he loves to put over his face, I used to be super paranoid, but I made sure my son knew how to move it away from his face and when I knew that he could I left it in all night with him

My son sleeps with one, and ends up on top of it not long after I situate him. I think he prefers to not sleep with it though.

We have used a blanket since about 9 months but it’s a homemade crochet blanket I guess is what you would call it? So it has lots of holes in it and it’s pretty small. So no big deal if he gets tangled in it or gets it over his head.

My son had a blanket since summer cuz he refused to sleep in his sleeping bag anymore so me has a blankets over him then a little blankie with a elephant head on he likes to rub it on his cheek before going to sleep

I’m too nervous to use a blank still. My son rolls around a lot in his crib, often ending up upside down from where I left him. That is, if I used a blanket, his head would be underneath. I’m not sure that he’d be able to move the blanket off his face, especially if he’s sleeping. I think he’d probably be fine but I’d be checking constantly. I just make sure to keep his room warm.

We’ve done a blanket for a solid month now. Sometimes I’ll do a wearable blanket as well. What I’m most likely to do is a warm blanket under her tucked in the sides like the crib sheet. I do get paranoid at times because I’ve seen what a loose blanket can do so I use thicker ones. It’s the thinner ones I’m most scared of because of how they twist easier and can get wrapped around their necks when they roll.

I use the halo sleep sack wearable blanket but let him sleep with a small blankey to cuddle with. My 3 1/2 year old finally stays covered with a blanket in bed. I plan on using wearable blankets for the baby for a while because I doubt he'll stay covered all night until he's older.
