Frozen milk?

Last night my poor girl had a tiny bit of blood in her poop 😭 we are headed to the dr today but the on call dr last night said it might be the dairy in my diet since I’m breast feeding. If she does have a milk allergy does that mean all the milk I have frozen for when I go back to work she can’t have? I’m assuming yes but I’m not 100% sure. I got spoiled with my first because she was so so easy so the gas, so this is all so different this time.

Don't throw out your stash! There are definitely some mamas out there who would love donated milk. I have a large supply and just had a lactation consultant connect me with a mom who has had to use donated milk for her little one. It's an incredible gift. :)

Donate the milk of baby does have a dairy sensitivity.  There are absolutely moms out there that would be happy to have the milk!

I’m sorry! I was in the same boat. I have a large stash from before I had to follow the mspi diet. I am saving it in the hopes of testing it out in a couple of months. Sometimes babies can grow out of sensitivities. If it is an allergy, you may be in a different boat. I have been slowly building my freezer stash back up and you can too! Your milk supply is higher at night so add a pumping session in where you can, and drink LOTS of water and your supply should spike. You may have to supplement here and there when you go back to work, but that doesn’t mean you have to give up breastfeeding if you don’t want to.

I’m in the same boat (kinda). My baby’s poops were so liquidy that her pediatrician told me to cut out dairy. I don’t have a large stash yet, but I have some from before I cut out dairy. I might just keep them and save them till I know more from the allergist. She’ll she an allergist at 3 months due to her sister’s severe allergies. They want to see if it’s genetic. I have been reading more about breastfeeding and dairy and from what I’ve read it can take some time for dairy to leave the body and even longer to leave your baby’s system. This is just what I’ve read. I am not a medical professional. Talk to your doctor and see what they recommend. Good luck!
