I’m young and I got my period about 9 months ago. And it’s going well. And I’ve been using pads for the 9 months. But I’ve been told that tampons are easier. So I tried them and they are really painful. They just hurt and when I move around it hurts a lot. Is that just me? Does this happen to you guys? Or did you get used to it? Please help! Us woman have to stick together! Thank you 😊

Hey girly, I started on pads for about a year until I moved to tampons. Definitely make sure you’re comfortable with yourself and ready to try something different. My advice is to make sure you’re inserting correctly and relax as much as possible. If not inserted right it will be uncomfortable. It also takes time to get use to. Start with the regular size also it’s the smallest. Once you get it right you’ll know! I’ve never went back to pads since I was 12/13. You got this don’t get discouraged!

When I first used them it was super painful and I could feel it the entire time it was in. I tried again a few years later and realized I hadn’t been inserting it in all the way and that’s why it was so uncomfortable. Even after having my period for 10 years I still prefer pads over tampons. Even now that I know how to insert them I still prefer not to wear them. Pads or tampons is your personal opinion. Don’t force yourself to wear them if they aren’t comfortable.
