Hi Everyone! I had no idea this group existed, but I’m so glad it does. I just wanted to introduce myself. I’m new to the group, but not new to IVF. I went through my first cycle in November/December 2016. Out of my five mature eggs retrieved, only one fertilized with ICSI. My one fighter is now my 2.5 year old son. I am hoping to give him a sibling, but I know we were incredibly lucky to be successful on our first try (with our only embryo). In the last three years, my AMH has dropped drastically - from 5.82 in August 2016 to 0.84 in October 2019.

We have severe MFI - my husband has a zero sperm count and had to have a procedure called a micro-TESE to surgically remove sperm during our first cycle. They were able to freeze five vials of sperm, but our doctors aren’t sure how well it will thaw, so he might have to repeat the procedure this time around. We were supposed to start our cycle in less than two weeks, but that would put my retrieval (and my husband’s potential surgery) right around the time his urologist will be on vacation. Unfortunately, with the low AMH, my doctor doesn’t want me on birth control, so they really have no control over my start date. So, we will hopefully be getting started with my next cycle, hopefully by the end of February/very early March.

During my first round of IVF, I connected with an awesome group of ladies on here, and I was hoping to do the same this time. The support from other people going through the same thing was so so helpful to me. I do feel guilty though wanting more when I already have my one little miracle, and so many of you are still waiting for that. Is there anyone else here who is trying for their second? Good luck to everyone! ❤️
