Work woes

31 weeks 4 days. Sailing through with some discomfort but mostly great until today.

One of my students had explosive diarrhea and tried to clean herself. Poop all over body, face, hair, clothes, toilet, floor. Poor kid has mobility and coordination issues.

I dry heaved through the whole clean up process, but we were in it together.

Student, “I’m doing the best I can”

Me, “me too kiddo, we can do this together”

Student, “We are doing the best we can”

I nearly started crying, stayed calm.

Didn’t barf.

Received a huge (cleaned up) hug at the end.

Ordeal over.
