I CANT BELIEVE HE JUST.......

So I’m sitting here extremely hurt. I have been in a LDR for a little over 4 months and beginning of feb we have plans to meet in person for the first time. We currently ft and text. We text everyday and it’s difficult due to our time differences he lives in London. So fast forward everything has been fine up until today. I have been noticing a change in text tone. You know when your use to the I love you and so forth something’s just off so I brought up and told him I need a little reassurance that he feels the same about us meeting. And I could tell he was upset. I wanted to talk to him because text messages come across so wrong but he switched up or am I overreacting I just don’t know how to feel. Is this a red flag? Am I wrong for needing a lil reassurance? Or did my text seem super needy?
