I just found out I'm having a little girl. I have a boy now. Would it be weird to throw a baby shower/sprinkle?

Everyone keeps telling me I should. I really wouldnt mind as I need little girl clothing and diapers/wipes. New binkys and bottles.

My sister in law had full blown baby shower for all 3 of her kids. First was a boy. Then they moved out of state, got pregnant with a girl so we threw her another shower with her new friends. For her 3rd, it was another girl. We weren’t planning to do anything but my brother said she was sad no one was so we threw her one and had a nice big celebration. Every baby deserves to be celebrated and gifts shouldn’t be a requirement, just a bonus if given.

I’ve had 2 big showers for my kids. In my family, we don’t do small. Every baby is celebrated. Doesn’t matter what gender or what the age gap is.. I just had our rainbow baby after 3 miscarriages so we definitely still had a celebration just like my first. I never made registries for them so I honestly didn’t care what or if we got gifts. 
So do whatever you’d like to do.
