How long after birth?

How long after giving birth we’re you able to get back to your normal routine? Running errands, participating in social events, etc.

i had a normal vaginal birth and i was fine going places and doing things the same week but i felt 10x better once the bleeding stopped. more comfortable.

I wasn’t back up to speed and certainly was in pain, but my husband and I were able to go out for dinner 5 days after my c section and I rode the subway 6 days after.

I had a c-section and apart from not being able to drive, I was up and about going places about a week after.

I just had my third child vaginally in November and had my tubes tied while in the hospital. I was in the hospital only 34 hours in total and the day after I got home I was running errands with my husband with children in tow. My stomach was sore as they went in through my belly button but it was tolerable with Motrin. Likewise, I had no complications and didn’t tear so I had no other pain. With my other two births, I had to have one stitch with each and I will say that slowed me down as it was hard to comfortably sit upright. Ultimately, I think it all depends on your birth experience.

I sadly lost my little girl on 22.12.19 she was 33 weeks stillborn so the social aspect of it was a lot different for me but after giving birth I’d say one week and I felt all normal down there. And two weeks later we were doing errands and things. 🦋💜

With my c-sections I am on pain pills for about a week after. I still go places if needed though. My hubby is the chauffeur.
