I just want my period😫

I’m on the pill and we use condoms. The last time I had sex was on New Years and the condom was 100% fine. And then we messed around but his penis never went inside but was in the area. So I know that me being pregnant would be incredibly insane. I’m a day late and I took a test this morning and it was negative. Should my test have been accurate and my period just late???
