Scary night

My LO woke up from a nap yesterday not able to breathe and with a hoarse cough. EMTs were called but advised us against going to the hospital because it I RSV/FLU season. So we declined the transport. Ended up in the ER a couple hours later and rushed into care for croup. It was so scary and so hard seeing my little man struggle. Lots of tears were cried. We were admitted last night and discharged this afternoon. Thankfully the steroids worked and he’s on the mend. This scared mamma will be getting little sleep watching him breathe since it’s the worst at night. Mammas... our intuition is ALWAYS RIGHT. The hospital was upset the EMTs didn’t think it was an emergency. Thankfully we trusted our gut and went in.
