For all of us out there with/expecting our "unexpected" babies. Did/will you tell them they were unexpected? If so how?

My mom did. She said “unplanned but not unwanted”. It was interesting because she tried eighteen months to get pregnant with my brother, but got pregnant with me while she was on birth control.

I don't know why that's something you'd feel the need to tell a kid unless they specifically asked. That seems so unnecessary and inappropriate.

If my child asks, I'll be honest that he was a surprise. I don't feel like that's something worth lying about and doesn't make him any less loves or wanted.

My stepson is starting to infer this on his own 😂he asked me the other day how old his parents were when they had him. I said “20” he was like “hmmm that seems really young🧐”

I'll tell him or her that she was my christmas miracle (found out on the 20th of december) as we were planning to start ttc in june after our first trip as a couple we have planned out but life decided other wise.

I refer to them as my surprise babies I actually am having my 3rd child in april and they all were surprises lol, I didnt plan for either my second one I would say we were more trying but that was after the surprise and then miscarriage, but none of my kids were really planned
